There is a lot of big news to report on today. In an article I wrote yesterday, I reported on a lot of topics, including a new “Assassin’s Creed” and a new “Call of Duty”. I won’t say that today’s news is bigger, because let’s face it, “Assassin’s Creed” and “Call of Duty” are two of the biggest franchises in the world, but today’s news is no less interesting.
First up, there’s been a huge public outcry over the delay of “Rayman Legends” on the Wii U.
Responding to the outcry on their Facebook page, Ubisoft announced that Wii U owners will receive an exclusive demo.
“Thanks for all your feedback regarding 'Rayman Legends' in all of its forms. We have heard you and we will continue to listen. We understand your frustration and that you want to get your hands on the game.
We are working with the development team to provide you with a new, exclusive demo for the Wii U soon. Stay tuned for more.”
Just looking at the replies to the Facebook post, it’s obvious that the demo announcement did not appease the fans like Ubisoft had hoped, only further enraged them. The game is now expected to be released in early September.

![“Rayman Legends”, a game that was once exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii U system, was delayed on Thursday so that the game could be a multiconsole release. This has angered many fans who were expecting the game to come out on Feb. 26, 2013. On Friday, one of the game's developers spoke out on the decision on a Spanish language forum about the delay (which was translated by NeoGAF)."I completely understand you but you have to understand one thing. This is not a decision taken by the development team, this comes from really really high up, so please don't pick on the game.If you're pissed, imagine how we feel. Think on the situation. We've been making overtime with this game practically since May preparing E3, and then almost a demo per month (gamescon, Wii U presentation, shops, eShop, etc.) and at the same time trying to actually finish the game. We had a first delay because it was obvious we couldn't finish on time but we gave it our all to be there on February. What face do you think we had when the week we had to close the game we're being told it's not going to be released? I couldn't believe it.For practical matters, you'll have to wait for some months for the game to be released and will most likely serve for more content to be added and do it better. For us, this means we've spent 6 months barely seeing our wives, kids, and friends for nothing because, after all, such a haste wasn't needed. Believe it, it was a hell to swallow these news.”[Via GameInformer] “Rayman Legends”, a game that was once exclusive to Nintendo’s Wii U system, was delayed on Thursday so that the game could be a multiconsole release. ![Last month at the CES 2013 show, Nvidia announced Project Shield, a handheld device that plays Android and PC games. Now the company has released a video that really shows off what the Tegra 4 powered handheld system can do. The video shows a boxing game being played, and the graphics are quite impressive, especially for an android device.“As we’re going into this, you’ll notice that we get buttery smooth performance, you know, you get high frame rates, you get enhanced textures, you get increased polygon count, smooth animations, and you add on top of that some specular lighting and some true depth of field, and that all adds up to a really immersive boxing game. Of course, all made possible by the Tegra 4 quad core processor, and its custom 72 core GPU.”[Via Slashgear] Last month at the CES 2013 show, Nvidia announced Project Shield, a handheld device that plays Android and PC games.
