While the lockout-shortened 2012-13 National Hockey League season was largely one to forget for the Nashville Predators, one bright spot for the team was the emergence of assistant coach Lane Lambert’s hair as a topic of conversation throughout the 48-game regular season.
During most of the team’s games, Fox Sports Tennessee would do a quick hit interview with Lambert from the bench in either the first or second period. While play-by-play man Pete Weber and color commentator Terry Crisp asked Lambert about the progression of the game to that point, the Twitter world was quickly abuzz with tweets mentioning the well-coiffed Lambert’s hair. It was not unusual for timelines to be flooded with multiple #lanelambertshair hashtags for the entirety of Lambert’s one to two minute spots.
As we have hit the dog days of hockey’s offseason, let’s take a pictorial stroll through the wonder that is the progression of Lambert’s hair over the course of the last few years and imagine what he will have in store for the 2013-14 season.
