On Wednesday afternoon, Billboard announced their new Hot 100. Lady Gaga's "Applause," which she said would be the song of the decade, dropped another spot to number 7. Gaga had her fans download the song as much as 800 times and had them illegally playlist the song as well. Most songs would easily hit number one with such backing, but "Applause" isn't just "any" song. It's a really bad song and tops our list of the worst songs released this millennium.
Gaga isn't the only female singer who has experienced bad luck. In May, Mariah Carey released the clunker "#Beautiful," and appeared to be happy just being a backup singer on her own record. Unfortunately, the lead singer (Miguel) sounds completely off key.
The Black Eyed Peas have had a lot of success over the past ten years, but they have also had a lot of bad songs. "My Humps" is one of those bad songs, even though it was a huge hit when it was released. "Boom Boom Pow," another annoying and talentless song, almost made our list.
Without further ado, here is our list of the worst songs of the millennium. Let us know if you agree. Are there any songs you think we missed?
