There are lots of great places to eat in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, but sometimes it's nice to take a break from the park (especially when it's crowded) and have a more leisurely sit-down meal. One option is to hop aboard the monorail and have lunch at the Grand Floridian, Contemporary, or Polynesian Resort. All three hotels have quick-service options and sit-down lunch restaurants.
Which of the three is my favorite? It's a tough call, but I'll admit to being partial to Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. I love 'Ohana, where the meat is grilled on big skewers and practically still sizzling when they bring it to your table, but that restaurant is only open for dinner. Kona serves all three meals (banana-stuffed tonga toast for breakfast...mmmm), and it's a lovely spot for lunch.
Check out a brief overview of some of the lunch options in the list and photos accompanying this article. If they look tempting, just hop on board the resort monorail next time you're at the Magic Kingdom and have a tasty midday meal. I recommend making reservations via 407-WDW-DINE to make sure you can get in.
