Three Fates Games, a board game and table-top RPG design and sales LLC, recently launched their Kickstarter for Let's Kill Krampus, which is at $9,000 with 18 days to go. The founders came together in 2010 with the vision of creating games made by, and for, gamers. As a result, their games are made with a passion for balanced gameplay and in-depth strategy. In 2012, they established themselves as an LLC and rented a spot in an entrepreneurship incubator, where they continue to meet and work to this day. I spoke with Sam Boyer, co-director of Three Fates Games, after meeting him at Gen Con.
Michael Tresca (MT): Where are you based? How did you travel to Gen Con?
Sam Boyer (SB): We are located in Chicago, Illinois, and work at the IAEOU, our incubator space. We got to GenCon by taking the Megabus directly from Chicago to Indianapolis, carrying our promotional materials and prototype by splitting it all up between our luggage.
MT: Where was your booth?
SB: We were at booth number 1454, in the Entrepreneur's Alley. I couldn't imagine a better spot for a company like ours!
