Kansas City organizations offer pet care assistance

In a time where times are tough and money is short, pet owners scramble to care for their animals. Sadly, a rough economy has directly impacted animal shelters across the country as more and more people have no choice but to relinquish their beloved animals. But, it doesn't have to be that way. Sure, there are circumstances that can't be avoided but there are many resources available, the key is to know about them.

Pet owners in the Kansas City area have groups and organizations that can assist in these times of need. While they aren't making waves across America like the Pet Food Stamps program, these groups offer resources just as valuable.

Keep in mind that these programs are only available because of monetary and item donations. If you find a cause that you believe in, please view their website and donate to their cause. Most donations are tax-deductible.
