Join Dr. Chester DePratter and his team from the South Carolina Institute for Archaeology and Anthropology for a tour of the Camp Asylum archaeological dig site on the Bull Street campus. These tours are offered on Fridays from February 14 through April 25 at 11 am and 1 pm, each one hour tour will give an inside look at Dr. DePratter's efforts to discover what life was like at Camp Asylum, a Civil War prison camp built for the incarceration of Union Soldiers from December 1864 to February 1865. This Friday's tour and next Friday's will be the final tours of the site.
All attendees will be required to submit a release form to attend this tour. The form will be sent to you after you register. There will be no tours on Friday, April 4. Tickets can be obtained online or by calling 803-252-1770 ex 23. Cost of the tour is $10.
