As the infamous Ellen DeGeneres photo, dubbed "most people involved in a selfie ever," was tweeted around the globe from last night's Academy Awards show (and crippled Twitter servers for a good while), audiences watched as film actors and actresses cleaned house in regard to Oscars last night.
The 86th Academy Awards was held on March 2nd, 2014 and was presented by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences and honored all actors, actresses, and advances in cinematography achievements of 2013. The gala was held at the Dalby Theatre in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California. Ellen DeGeneres hosted the event, and although the jokes of the evening were rather tame, the styles and jewelry fashions certainly weren't.

Charlize Theron Necklace and Earrings
Many fashion critics were confused about Charlize Theron's black Christian Dior gown with clear, barely-there straps. If anything can be said for the ensemble, the Harry Winston diamond earrings and necklace set added flair to an otherwise neutral gown.
Lupita Nyong's Sparkly Headband
Lupita Nyong was again the talk of Tinseltown in her delicate pastel blue Prada gown...we certainly love the glitzy princess-like headband. The gown Nyong chose for the Oscars was certainly more demure than her bold turquoise gown Nyong wore to the recent SAG Awards. Many viewers felt the star's Oscar gown was very similar to Disney princess Cinderella's ball gown...the only thing Nyong lacked was a pair of glass slippers.
Kristen Bell's Floral Style Necklace
The feminine necklace Kristen Bell paired with the beaded strapless Robert Caralli dress couldn't have been more perfect. The necklace and matching earrings, designed by Piaget, were classy and elegant. The best part? Bell had a stow away snack tucked in her clutch...a burrito! The star even posted photos to her Twitter account...we definitely believe her.
Cate Blanchett's Opal Earrings
Cate Blanchett's fashion wardrobe seemed to be a fashion favorite of Oscar show viewers. Blanchett wore a strapless nude toned gown embroidered with Swarovski Crystals. I wasn't personally a fan of the dress, but loved Blanchett's Chopard designed opal chandelier earrings. Who doesn't love opal?
Angelina Jolie's Earrings
The earrings Angelina Jolie sported to the Academy Awards certainly caught headlines- the actress wore flawless 42 carat diamond earrings. To put that into perspective, think about 15 carats less than Sotheby's high profile "Big Pink" diamond. The beadwork of Jolie's floor length gown was equally stunning; the Elie Saab Haute Couture gown radiated glitz and glamour.
