Are you thinking about taking your kids to Halloween Horror Nights? Before you rush out the door to get to Univesal, you need to do a little bit of research and judge whether or not your child can handle the event. If your child isn't able to handle the event, it could end in a night of tears and nightmares for weeks.
Universal Orlando specifically states on their website that Halloween Horror Nights may be too intense for children under the age of 13 and is not recommended. My husband started taking my step daughter to Halloween Horror Nights when she was 7 and my step son when he was 11 - but that doesn't mean they weren't ready just because they're under 13. I have seen many parents bring their children without it ending in a night of tears.
I've listed a few things that you can do with your child to see if they are ready and how to help them cope with the event. Click the list to the left.
