Some have accused Fox News of using the “sex appeal” of their news program hosts and correspondents to boost their ratings. Surely I wouldn't be so cynical as to accuse them of doing that. You can view some pictures yourself and decide whether you think the Fox News Channel is appealing to “sex” to get rating. You can also view the pictures contained in the list in this article and make up your own mind about that issue.
While there are some news personalities on air that I think are definitely puff and fluff, there is no doubt that Fox News has hired some well educated and qualified news show hosts who also happen what many consider to be “easy on the eyes.”
One of my favorites is Megyn Kelly, who currently hosts one of the news programs broadcast weekdays in the afternoon on Fox News. In one notable instance, which you can view here, she blasted liberal guest Kirsten Powers for not having her facts on the New Black Panther Party voter intimidation case in Philadelphia during the 2008 election. She shows how ignorant Powers was on the case, and had the audacity to just flat out tell you “you don't have your facts” and next time she comes on the show she should have do some basic preparation and know something about the subject matter to be discussed. They often have Monica Crowley, who is a syndicated talk show host, appear along with Hannity's former co-host, and liberal talk show host, Alan Colmes. I'm surprised Colmes still does these segments, because every time he gets destroyed in the argument by Crowley. In this instance, Colmes gets so stupid the show's host Bill O'Reilly blasted him and called him a “liar.”
Then there is Andrea Tantaros on Fox News' show The Five. As those who have watched The Five now, the show has five co-hosts that include usually three generally more conservative personalities along with that somewhat strange libertarian-leaning Greg Gutfeld and the token liberal, former 1984 Mondale campaign manager Bob Beckel. As viewers of the show know, Beckel is a completely blithering pabulum puking liberal who can be quite annoying at times. Here is an exchange between the two for you to watch.
One of the other co-hosts of The Five, former Bush press secretary Dana Perino, is quite good too. Here you can view Perino and the others do their “One More Thing” segment on The Five.
