Just a little over 50 miles from my house is a subdivision of the Anheuser Busch Distributing Company. Adjacent to that property is the home of a team of Clydesdale horses in the midst of Williamsburg’s Busch Gardens, a family entertainment park.
This past season, visitors were treated not only to the majestic Clydesdales but also to a frisky colt who loved preening for the crowds who stopped by to take pictures or just to look at him. Children, like my three-year-old granddaughter wished to pet him but often had to settle for petting one of the parents instead.
After passing by the stables, families often stop somewhere to grab a bite to eat and/or something to eat. Besides water, lemonade, tea and soft drinks, a selection of beers is available. As you might expect, the one brand you will be certain to find at each stand where beer is sold is Budweiser.
This leads me to the only two uses I knew about for beer until just recently. One was to drink and the other was to add sheen to my hair by rinsing my hair in it when I was in college. Of course, we only used the cheap stuff for that purpose.
This list will share ten uses for beer that most of you have probably never heard of. They are taken from the August 12, 2013 issue of First for women magazine. Use your leftover beer for these. And, if you choose to drink, drink sensibly and NEVER drink and drive.
