There were parties and dinners to follow film screenings and the awards ceremony at Twisted Vine Bistro, a filmmakers lodge at Firestone, and breakfast panels at Bennett’s Fresh Roast and other select venues.
One of the filmmakers on board was award-winning Michael Rossato-Bennett. He is the founder and executive producer of Projector Media. The company is dedicated to inspiring conversations that investigate issues related to cultural consciousness.

Eric Raddatz is the founder and executive director of FMff. For most of each year, every Monday, he and TGIM pre-judges film entries and holds their meetings at the Sidney & Berne Davis Art Center in Fort Myers, Fla.

Opening-night festivities began at 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 19, at the Barbara B. Mann Performing Arts Hall. The event began with the red carpet rolling out, paparazzi snapping photos, drinks, mingling and musical entertainment. After a warm welcome from the night's hosts Stephanie Davis, Chad Oliver and Mayor Randy Henderson, the movie began at 7 p.m.
FMff has featured over four dozen local filmmakers over a large area of SW Florida. In addition, it attracts filmmakers from across the globe!
