The Humboldt County Children's Author Festival is here once again. The biennial event - it happens every two years - is a time for local children and adults to meet with authors and illustrators. It begins on Thurs., Oct. 17 and concludes on Sat., Oct. 19. Students at schools throughout the county will be visited by authors, an author banquet will be held and the entire 25 visiting authors will be available to sign their books and discuss their characters more in depth at the Eureka Main Library.

There are only 38 days left until the Humboldt County Author Festival begins. That is plenty of time, though to read books by all the authors and decide which ones are your favorites.
