Hudson Valley yarn crawl

The warmer weather is coming. Get out your calendars and start saving the dates. There are wool and sheep fairs, spring retreats and yarn crawls. The Hudson Valley Yarn Crawl, a bi-annual event, has extended its name to include Yarn Crawl Northeast. Mark the date March 23 & 24, 2013.

The crawl covers five New York counties that include Dutchess, Columbia, Ulster, Orange and Green counties and Litchfield County in Connecticut. Stop by the Black Sheep Hill Farm in Pine Plains, NY and finish at the Black Sheep Yarns in Kent, CT.

This is the time when knitters, weavers, needle felters, fiber artists travel throughout the region and peruse the shops and farms which support our passion. Not only are there yarns and wool to buy but plenty of opportunity to see lambs and goat kids and farms in action.

Enjoy free snacks and other goodies, discounts, complimentary items and skeins of fun.
