Let's face it, most of us are either swamped with work, family, friends, business, and/or a million other things. Yet, we must still maintain a healthy lifestyle to function with our busy lifestyles. How can we remain physically active, balance our lives, and still maintain a stress free life?
Well I certainly don't have all the answers, but I may have a few tips to help you effectively live an active life.
1) Find an active "hobby" that you enjoy. Why drag yourself out to a boring gym, when you can play basketball, swim, ride a bike, or even go salsa dancing for fun? You will still achieve similar results burning 100's of calories/hour. Zumba and salsa dancing are two of my personal favorites.
2) Set a realistic schedule for your weekly routines. Do not overwhelm yourself with unrealistic goals. Start out maybe twice a week for an hour and escalate from there.
3) Track your success. Not only assess your physical results, but how you feel. Do you feel more relaxed and are you happier than before? If the answer is "yes" to both questions, continue with your "hobby". If not, move on to a new more refreshing one.
