Fresh water in coffee pot
Fill pot with cool water up to the water line on the pot. Do not recommend over filling past the line. This can cause the tea to overflow when being brewed.
Adding water to coffee maker
After filling the pot up with water, carefully pour into the top of the coffee maker. Most makers have a overflow hole near the top, so be easy with pouring to not over fill.
Adding tea bags
Use your own preference of what kind of tea you like. There are many to chose from; decaffeinate, caffeinated, lemon, mint, and they even have specialties such as, black, sugar cookie, strawberry, etc...
Bags of tea goes into the filter of the maker.
After picking out the brand and flavor you like, simply place them into the maker with the tags hanging over the maker (to keep those out of the water mixing with the tea bags).
Fresh brewed tea
Turn the coffee maker to the on position and sit back and let the maker do its work. When the tea is finished brewing, turn off the maker and pour the tea into the tea gallon container.
1 1/2 cups of sugar
Measure out one and a half cups of sugar and pour into the tea container. This will make the tea sweet and desirable. Make sure you put the sugar in before adding the hot tea. This will aid in mixing of the tea and sugar.
Pour the brewed tea into pitcher.
Now pour the hot brewed tea into the pitcher. Use the 'gentle pouring' method when doing this, if you do not you can end up making a mess or worse scalding yourself.
Same method as before
You will see that only one pot of brewed tea isn't enough for a gallon, so you will need to start over (but not completely). You will pour fresh water into pot, measure it out, and then pour into the maker. You already have tea bags still loaded, so just turn the maker back on and continue with the last pour. You do not need to add anymore sugar.
Finished sweet tea
Now you need to use a large spoon and stir the tea to make sure all is mixed and place into refrigerator. Although you can drink the tea hot, I personally like cold sweet tea.
