How to make glittery Christmas ornaments in advance

People constantly and consistently complain about the last minute Christmas shopping melee, but it does not have to be this way! With a bit of planning it is possible to make Christmas presents like glittery ornaments well in advance. Most New Year resolutions are simply wistful memories by late April, but crafting and making gifts is an industrious effort that people of all ages can commit no matter what time of year it is. When people cannot keep up with other grandiose schemes, it is always good to know that crafting will always be by your side.

So for people who like to craft through out the year, why not get a head start on making some Christmas ornaments during free moments each week? All three of the Christmas ornaments created here were made with materials that cost less than two dollars, which illustrates how making small presents on a budget does not have to break the bank.

Draw a picture of a Christmas tree with colored pencils and markers.  This drawing and two illustrations of small wreaths will be turned into Christmas ornaments.

Adhere all of the illustrations to cardboard with glue.  Paint a couple of layers of glitter glue over each ornament, and allow these to dry over night.

After the small wreath ornament has dried, use a needle to poke a hole in the top of the ornament.  A small ornament hanger can be inserted through hole of the ornament.

This wreath ornament is slightly larger than the one in the previous picture.  A needle can be used to punch a hole through the top of the ornament, and a hanger can be added.

Punch a hold in the top of the Christmas tree ornament. Insert a green hanger through the hole, and this sparkly decoration will make a nice gift.  Each of these ornaments were created for less than two dollars, which illustrates how affordable Christmas gifts can be created in advance, and on a budget.
