I just came across incredibly unique and super visual new hair styling technique! It’s called Hair Stitching.
For this updo- -you can say “bye bye” to bobby pins because all you need is a needle and thread! (Seriously!) Hair stitching is a surprisingly quick and easy technique that’s used to create a romantic textured look that’s not too “done up”. Senior stylist Graziella Lembo of SalonCapri in Boston, shares her step-by-step below on how to achieve this dazzling look.
Hair stitching works best on hair with a bit of texture, Graziella recommends washing hair the day before your styling, or if you’re working with squeaky clean strands, she uses a dry shampoo such as Kerastase K Line Powder Bluff to add “next day hair” texture before styling. It keeps hair looking freshly washed and leaves no powder residue!
