Fiddle, uilleann pipes, button accordion, bouzouki, keyboard, vocals and guitar.Blackthorn ceili band playing upstairs at Jack Quinn’s Pub Colorado Springs on St Patrick’s day 1-5pm.4 of 5 band members will be playing as follows (5th band member Cara Jean Riemann is playing fiddle in Denver at same time with different band):- Eric Olson Uileann Pipes, vocals & tin whistle,- Marty Smith on bouzouki/vocals,- Frank Barber guitar/keyboard- Jim Doherty on button accordion/tin whistleBack Home.We play predominantly Celtic Music but also add some Appalachian, Americana,folk, and soft bluegrass to the mix. OK, first things first. Never, ever use the term St. Patty's Day to describe this holiday. Patty is a girl's name. In the Irish, the name of the Saint is Padraig, leading to the diminutive Paddy, often used to describe the Irish. Remember the Paddy Wagon? It was a police vehicle used to round up the drunk and rowdy, which often included a large number of Irish. Want more info and ranting on this subject?
