The 26th Annual Horse-a-Rama takes place on Saturday, May 3, and Sunday, May 4, at the Manitowoc County Expo Grounds, in Manitowoc, Wisconsin. The 2014 Horse-a-Rama theme is “Get Back in the Saddle.”
Highlights of the weekend expo include professional clinician presentations, equine breed and equestrian discipline demonstrations, educational seminars, and lots of horse-themed shopping with plenty of vendors.
Free auditing is included with Horse-a-Rama admission for the on-site training programs. Rider-participant spots are pre-arranged for these sessions.
Admission costs $7 for a one-day pass, or $10 for the full weekend at Horse-a-Rama 2014. Kids eight and under are admitted free.

Justin Mundt Horsemanship Clinics
Headlining Horse-a-Rama 2014 is horse trainer Justin Mundt presenting a series of horsemanship and riding clinics throughout the weekend event. Mundt’s topics include:

Portia Kalinka Miniature Horse Clinic
Portia Kalinka is on-hand at Horse-a-Rama to teach a two-day Miniature Horse Clinic, focusing on Halter, Obstacles, Jumping, and Driving / Mock Show. Kalinka is a licensed judge with the American Miniature Horse Association and the American Shetland Pony Club.
Used Tack Sale
A Horse-a-Rama / 4-H Used Tack Sale is a perennial favorite at the weekend equine expo. Consignors are invited to place tack, horse show apparel, riding gear, and related items in the popular sale, operated by the Manitowoc County 4-H Horse Project.
Ivy Schexnayder Trick Training Clinic
Wisconsin equestrian Ivy Schexnayder leads a Trick Training Clinic at Horse-a-Rama 2014. Schexnayder will assist groups of equestrians and their horses in half-hour sessions, working on bowing, clicker training, the Spanish walk, and other trick training concepts.
Horse-a-Rama Liberty Horse Contest
Equines exercise free rein in the Horse-a-Rama Liberty Horse Contest. Pre-selected horses representing various equine breeds and equestrian disciplines will show off their form and movement to music, earning competition points, in this class.
Jen Kvalheim Horse Show Psychology Clinic
Jen Kvalheim, a horse show judge, offers a “Get Back in the Ring with Horse Show Psychology” program with five sessions:

• Learn Riding Patterns
• Practice Riding Patterns
• Tips on Riding the Rail
