-This is a disclaimer acknowledging that every Friday from here on out I will provide to you a weeks worth of Horror movies on the rental and VOD circuit. Some of these movies are so bad they will never see the light of day on the main screen but some are hidden gems unknown to the general mainstream moviegoers. I feel it its my duty to make sure you don’t miss out on any future cult classics so I bring to you my weekly installment of Horror Movies Uncut. The thoughts and opinions on these reviews are clearly my own and should be shared by many!

This weeks pick is the UK zombie flick Harold is Going Stiff. This is one of the more unique zombie films I have seen in quite some time. The story follows various people but centers around Harold. There is an epidemic of stiffness going on with the men and it goes from that to turning them into zombies. There is a group of guys who are volunteers that look to bash heads and ask questions later. The comedy in this film is great but more than anything its just nice to see a new direction in the genre. If you are tired of seeing all the same zombie films then make sure you pick this up this week. Its filmed in documentary style which really helps complete the feel of this movie and Harold Is Going Stiff is a film not miss. 3/5

This little survival thriller was lot better than I expected it to be. The story involves a group of kids out for a camping trip(stop me if you heard that before) when they come across a dead couple. The killers are a rogue couple of maniacs who seem hell bent on destroying anything their way. The leader of the bunch tries his hardest to keep all his friends and himself alive as they are subjected to the sick and twisted games of the two. I really enjoyed the pace of this film once the killers showed up. There a little too much fodder at the beginning but once you see how it unfolds you will realize that this is a solid thriller. Not too many twist and turns but there's enough blood, mayhem, and bodies for any horror fan to enjoy this film. 3/5

For sure this film is the WTF am I watching movie of the week. The story revolves around a woman who has returned from the dead. She heads to a house in the woods occupied by a writer but it seems as if she is not alone. From there this movie is a mess. Its all over the place following the characters who on this specific night won;t seem to die. Also our main character is stuck in a fantasy world because she believes she is in the 50’s still. How that helps i’m not sure because she is Russian. Soon after all hell breaks loose as she tries to escape the house from her killer. There are a lot of issues with this film. Its the one to pass for sure this week. 1/5

*updated for DVD release

The main reason this is not the pick of the week because it has already been. This film hit my top list of must see horror films when it was released back in 2006. I was blown away by the throwback giallo style portrayed in the film and was hooked to the end. All The Boys Love Mandy Lane not only takes you back to the first american style slasher that caught your attention it has flawless execution. Don't be worried about the team of Amber Heard and Jonathan Levine if you disliked Warm Bodies Mandy Lane is the real deal. The story involves the best looking girl in high school hanging out with the popular kids but for some reason bodies start piling up. This film has intensity, gore and amazing death scenes. All The Boys Love Mandy Lane is available right now on DVD so rent it or own it today. 5/5

Read my official review for House Of Bad here. This is a very well done supernatural film. It reminds me of Asian horrors as the atmosphere created is very creepy. This is movie has a good story involved with three sisters on the run from a drug dealer. They retreat to their parents old home which is haunted by those parents. If you want to see a well done supernatural film then rent this today. Even more evidence of how good this movie is that it sold out on Amazon after one day. 3/5

This crime thriller stars Haylie Duff as a woman whose boyfriend was killed during a robbery. She befriends the killer of her boyfriend in an attempt to make her life a living hell. She does so by doing everything possible to take it all away from her. This is a pretty decent thriller about a step up from a Lifetime Channel movie. If you folks want to see a decent thriller then send them towards this film. Its not a bad story at all. I was pleasantly surprised as how well Duff pulled off the role. Mainstream horror fans may want to leave this one alone. 2/5

This film from Brain Damage involves a secret government experiment gone wrong. The monster escaped the everglades to feed on the unsuspecting victims. There is a FBI agent on the case but her partners seem more worried about her drinking problem from the past. This film is a grosser version of a SyFy film but don’t worry this film has no CGI. What it does have is some pretty sparse acting a creature that may look similar to something you would see at your local haunted house. I would not say this is the film to miss this week but if you can find a better one go for it. 1/5
