I feel it its my duty to make sure you don’t miss out on any future cult classics so I bring to you my weekly installment of Horror Movies Uncut. The thoughts and opinions on these reviews are clearly my own and should be shared by many!

BEST PICK OF THE WEEK

THE SEASONING HOUSE-

This film will be hard to watch for many as it involves the horrible world of white slavery. It’s set overseas and involves a young deaf girl who has been given the horrible task of caretaker for the girls being raped and beaten in the house. Not only is she the same age as some of these girls it’s also her job to keep the girls smacked out on heroin. This revenge rape film not only has an intriguing storyline but a cast that does a great job of executing it’s direction. I was not expecting this film to draw me in as much as it did but I’m glad to have seen such a compelling film. Sometimes the best movies on this list are not the best movies for all to see and that’s what makes doing these recommendations so difficult. By the time the film progresses you will be cheering for the young girl to succeed but once you exposed to something as tragic as these young ladies have you know in the mind they will never escape the horrors of their experiences. This is truly a disturbing film but it is this weeks selection and if you can stomach the anguish it’s the one to rent this week.

THE REST OF THE FILMS

SIGHTSEERS-

This hilarious and demented film from IFC was one I’ve been wanting to see for some time but I will admit it was slightly disappointed. The story involves a couple on a road trip seeing the wonderful sites on their homeland when things start to get out of hand. More than anything Sightseers is a hilarious take on a classic premise of a man and woman on a killing spree. Though it failed to keep me intrigued towards the end I would recommend anyone to watch it. The sheer violence that starts off with the man and eventually consumes his girlfriend is pretty extraordinary but at times it seems the story was lost on direction. At times it was quite unbelievable that these kind of events would ever happen but overall it’s a good film. IFC has put out some stellar content as of late and even though this is not one of the better ones it’s definitely on par with other films in their catalogue. So if you are looking for a funny horror comedy for the weekend I would definitely suggest you pick up Sightseers as it’s worth the watch.

ZOMBIE NIGHT-

Another film starring eighties icon Daryl Hannah and this time she brings along another 80’s star Anthony Michael Hall. Contrary to the views of others I really had no issues with this made for tv zombie romp. I mean really i'm not sure of peoples expectations anymore but this film could have been worse than what it was. It involves a family that must survive a zombie attack that somehow will end in the morning (which is the only part I didn't really get.) The movie is filled with the undead , explosions, frantic running and hiding so I really don't know what else they could have done to make this better. I will say the execution of the zombie attacks was slightly absurd as I felt all these people would have died from the first horde. There was enough gore and violence for any zombie fan so lets call a spade a spade shall we. If you enjoy slow paced zombie films that don’t try to be anything else than what they are then check out Zombie Night. Though I will say i’ll be wondering for the rest of the year why the zombie outbreak stopped in the day. 2/5

7E-

I really don’t know where to go with 7E as it was one of the more confusing films I’ve seen as of late. From what I gather a young man is asked by his father to watch his step sister who is dealing with a loss of a mutual friend. She warns him she is being watched at night and it starts a downward spiral on the life of this young man.The sad part is their is some decent acting in the film but it really just goes nowhere. There are some really intense moments in the film but you are so lost by the time it happens you feel as if you missed something. This may be the what the hell am I watching film of the week but it falls more along the lines of what the hell did I just watch more than anything. 1/5
