Now that the turkey’s gone, everyone survived Black Friday and the relatives have gone back home, (at least for a few weeks) the 2013 holiday season is in full swing. And with the releases of so many new consoles this year, chances are you’re going to have more than a few gamers on your list this year. But if you’re stuck for ideas on which games to stick under the tree and which games to avoid, this Holiday 2013 Gamer’s Guide will help set you on the right path.

Now that we got the handhelds and the kids’ stuff out of the way, it’s time to focus on the older gamers. For this go around, we’ll be checking out some of the best games to get for the PlayStation 3. Sure, everyone may be scrambling to get their hands on a PS4 or an Xbox One, but you shouldn’t be in a rush to toss your old system out just yet. First of all, you can’t play your old games on the new systems, and since there’s not too many games out for the new consoles at this point, you may want to hold on to the old stuff for a little while longer. Secondly, there’s still plenty of games to be enjoyed for the current generation of consoles, many of which would make some awesome gifts for gamers who haven’t had a chance to play it yet.

Please note that, while some of these titles are exclusive to the PS3, many of the games are also available for multiple consoles as well, such as the Xbox 360. Also, bear in mind that the majority of these games are rated M for Mature and are intended for a much older audience, so if you are shopping for a younger set, pay close attention to the ratings and content of these games.
