There were definitely some highs and lows of Super Bowl 47. One high occurred when the Baltimore 'Ravens' won the game, making it the second time that they took home the trophy since the team's origin in 1996. One extreme low was when the San Francisco '49ers' failed to secure the winning touchdown with less than two minutes to go. Among the many highs and lows of this year's Super Bowl were Beyonce's half-time segment and the historic power surge incident that had the game at a stand still for nearly forty minutes.
Beyonce delivered well during her twelve minutes of fame at the Super Bowl. The singer rocked it out with her all girl band and sang the songs that her fans loved to hear most. Bey even invited former Destiny's Child members Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams onstage to sing a few of the group's greatest hits. Beyonce's choreography and connection with the crowd were most memorable.
After Bey's electrifying performance one would think that the Dome would be charged enough to light up the night; one would be wrong. The audience and team members were at a complete stand still for over thirty minutes as stadium officials tried to get the power back on when half the Super Dome was darkened by a power surge. Everything from the scoreboard to team technology was off during this time.
Bey's performance and the power outage were two of many highlights of Super Bowl 47. Check out more below!
