Have you heard of ducks. Have you heard of the Oregon Ducks who went into Boulder on a thermal from the Pacific coast over the Rocky Mountains? These are fast ducks and they're tough as well. They saw the Rocky Mountains and they said 'oooh,' as everyone does, and they just pummeled the Colorado Buffaloes as they've been beating mostly everybody. They have a dazzling offense even though their coach, Chip Kelly, from 2012 is coach of the Philadelphia Eagles this Fall.
They beat the Colorado Buffaloes last Saturday, 57-17, in this picture of beauty and majesty which is Boulder. Boulder in the Fall is magical and the photos are chilling but in a good way: in a very good way. This setting of Folsom Field in Boulder is the ultimate scene of Americana to my mind. As a college student this is the ultimate college football experience.
Perhaps the scene of Ralphie IV, a one-ton buffalo, rumbling onto the field is significant. Perhaps the Red Sea parting to enable safe passage was a significant segment in the Bible. There are other great venues, of course, in this spectacle in America.
I prefer Boulder in October to South Bend. The Fighting Irish will always have supporters though. College football as a symbol has credibility, though, because it's just so emblematic of America.
Check out the Ducks and Buffaloes. Have you heard of the Oregon Ducks?
