Mother Nature has another fantastic evening on tap for central Ohio this evening. Expect temperatures falling from around 82 at 7 p.m. to the lower 70s by midnight. The humidity is staying low which makes it feel very pleasant. Sunset on your Saturday evening will be at 8:15 p.m. in Columbus.
The heat will begin to crank up by tomorrow afternoon. A ridge of high pressure will build in from the west taking highs up into the upper 80s. Luckily, the humidity will still be in a somewhat comfortable range. Expect dew points in the middle to upper 50s which is just shy of the threshold of mugginess (60 degrees).
The biggest heat and humidity are still poised to move in by this upcoming week. Highs will soar back towards 90 degrees and the humidity will follow as well. A few disturbances riding the edge of a high pressure ridge to our west may send some thunderstorms our way by the middle of the week. Depending on extensive the coverage of rain is, we might get a temporary break in the heat. However, forecast models are indicating that the ridge will build back in with more heat through at least the holiday weekend.
