Harvesting season is here! If you have a kitchen sink full of tomatoes every week that need to be harvested, this is the easiest and healthiest way to make delicious, roasted tomato sauce.
While healthy and incredibly simple, this roasted tomato sauce is also convenient to package and freeze and can be made using supplies you already have in your home. The rich base is excellent for use in spaghetti sauce or tomato soup recipes - as well as additional recipes - throughout the winter.
Needed for this simple tomato sauce recipe:
- 13x9 or 15x10 casserole dishes
- Corer and knife
- Fresh garlic
- Olive Oil
- Basil Leaves
These are the basic tools needed to complete this recipe, but you might want to consider adding shredded squash or zucchini to the pans if you have a sink full of those too!
