If you’re headed to the MetLife Stadium on Feb. 2 to watch Super Bowl XLVIII, you may want to check out an alternative choice of accommodations. Nope, not a youth hostel … a bed and breakfast (B&B)! While not the most obvious choice for sports fans, several bed and breakfasts in New Jersey have teamed up to offer top perks and comfy accommodations to Super Bowl goers.

While some area hotels are renting rooms well above the $1,000 mark, the 16 B&B’s participating in “HuddleNJ” are offering rooms starting at $125 and each B&B offers a full hot breakfast, complimentary WiFi, plus a few other creature comforts. Many of the B&B’s are located on NJ TRANSIT routes, so you can get to the game and back without the worry of driving. The fan-friendly B&B super-perks run from Jan. 31 through Feb. 3. Click through the list to find a B&B that fits for you!

Bonus Super Bowl 2014 travel tip:

Purchase a NJ Transit Super Pass that offers a limited edition commemorative pass and is valid for unlimited travel from Monday, Jan. 27 through Monday, Feb. 3, 2014 on all NJ TRANSIT rail, bus, light rail and Access Link services throughout New Jersey, including travel to and from Newark Liberty International Airport and New York City.

For fans staying at home, you can catch Super Bowl XLVIII starting at 6:30 pm on FOX and live stream at FOX Sports.
