Happy wacky April

See also

April is the wackiest month. Rain, snow, eighty-degrees, eight degrees who knows? It begins with April Fool’s Day, IRS gets its laughs in the middle of the month and April 3 is World Pillow Fight Day. No wonder April is designated as National Humor Month.

April 1 is also International Tattoo Day and if that’s not enough for you, April 2 is National Peanut Butter & Jelly Day. The 4th is Walk Around Things Day as well as Tell a Lie Day. I’d be lying if I told you I didn’t occasionally walk around things.

April 6 is Write Your Own Epitaph Day. Mine? “I Told You I didn’t feel good!”

It’s also Sorry Charlie Day, I don’t know if that’s a pity day for anybody named Charles, Chuck or Charlie or if it has something to do with tuna. At any rate, it’s a holiday.

April 11 is 8-Track Tape Day! Fire up the bong and pop some Frampton Comes Alive! In the dashboard and let’s rock everybody.

April 14 is a special occasion for me. It is Ex-Spouse Day, and I would like to take this opportunity to wish all of my ex-spouses around the world well on this special day.

April 19 is National Garlic Day, the 26th is National Pretzel Day and the 27th is Babe Ruth Day, the ball player, not the candy bar.

We finish out the month with a flourish on April 27 and April 29 when we celebrate National Prime Rib Day and National Shrimp Scampi Day. Why not combine the two on the 28th and have some prime rib and scampi.

Check out the list for some wacky April holidays.

Happy April everybody.
