Prior to the 2013 Grammy Awards ceremony, CBS sent a memo to all celebrities that were to appear on camera, requesting that they refrain from wearing sheer clothing and cover their buttocks, breasts and genital area...really?
The fact that a network station had to "go there" should be an indication to the offenders that not only are most folks tired of seeing their birthday goodies, perhaps the thought should have come into their minds that since this is a prime time network event, out of decency for the young adults and children that may be watching, they should clean up their acts, literally.
As Ms. Lopez proudly, unashamedly and defiantly announced that she did receive the memo, it is apparent that some did not.
There is a way to show class and sophistication and be alluring without bordering on the pornographic (take a look at MC Lyte's elegant ensemble).
Hopefully next year we will see a better choice of selections.
