Golden Globes improved ratings

Hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler helped improve ratings of the Golden Globes on NBC by approximately eight percent in early tracking from the Hollywood Reporter. The three hour broadcast increased from 13.1 to 14.1 compared to last year's broadcast. With host Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, NBC and The Hollywood Foreign Press experienced double digit viewers in 2013 for the Golden Globes with 19.7 million adult (18-49) viewers, and the 2014 returns are expected to exceed this. CBS was the overall winner for the night with a line up of NFL football, 60 minutes, The Good Wife and The Mentalist.
