This year's Gluten & Allergen Free Expo has begun its national tour. Sure, the cities that Expo is in will advertise it the week before they arrive, but with a little early planning you might want to make some travel arrangements now to travel to a new city for a nice weekend away.
Here's what you will find at the Expo according to their website (http://gfafexpo.com/):
Entry into the 150+ booth vendor fair
Valuable coupons at the vendor booths
Samples from the vendors
Discounted products available for purchase
Informative classes related to the gluten and allergen-free lifestyle
Free reusable bag to carry your goodies
Meet your favorite vendors, authors and bloggers
The Expo has already kicked off the national tour in Chicago last weekend. Following is the list to see where they are going - and have the chance to enjoy the free samples, meet the vendors and hear the speakers that are meaningful to you.
Atlanta for southern hospitality
From May 17 - 18, the Expo will be the place to find gluten-free grits and other fine southern treats. In addition to the Expo, have a fun weekend visiting Atlanta's world class aquarium, CNN, and Coke headquarters. A long weekend will give you a chance to get back to your inner 'Scarlette O'Hara and Rhett Butler' and see the city that was once burned to the ground - and oh, how it has risen!
Seacaucus, NJ (a suburb of New York!)
September 6 - 7, spend a weekend experiencing the Expo and early fall in the Northeast. Stay near the Expo center, and then take a water taxi, train, or bus to the Big Apple to visit one of the greatest cities in the world (with lots of restaurants the are gluten and allergen-free). Big city lights and big tastes are all at your fingertips here.
Springfield, MA - so near to so many
The weekend of October 25 - 26 is calling everyone from a three state area... Hartford, Connecticut, Providence, Rhode Island, and Boston, Massachusetts this is a shout-out to you for a weekend getaway from home while the colors of the trees are at their peak. And, just think of all the great foods and speakers that will be included.
Dallas, Texas - what more can you say?!
During weekend of November 15 -16, go west! The weather is still warm and leave are still green on the trees here. Visit Southfork Ranch where the TV show 'Dallas' is filmed, visit AT&T stadium for a professional football game, but most of all find the foods, speakers, and information that you need before the year-end holiday blitz is upon us. Enjoy, y'all!
