And it’s going to be a big leap!
She is going to jump out of an airplane Saturday, April 26 to raise money for the shelter. The goal is $5,000.
Knepp says as a “newbie in the sheltering business” she hopes to change the perceptions of animal shelters. But that takes money. “Municipal shelters are often underfunded and understaffed, that’s why we try extra hard on Front Street to come up with new and creative ways to save lives.”
So, she seeks pledges for her leap of faith via www.youcaring.com. “Imagine if every one of our Facebook Friends donated a dollar. Life would be even better on Front Street,” she writes on the site. “Pledge a buck and wish me luck.”
As of Friday night, Knepp’s youcaring.com site reported she had raised $5,390.
