Setting aside time for working out in the early days of spring when the weather has (finally) reached at least 50 degrees by noon can be challenging. Check out these three local events to get you moving within the next week:

SELF's Workout in the Park

The active lifestyle event returns to Central Park's Rumsey Playfield. Registrants will participate in a hands-on, all-in-one roster of workouts, workshops, and giveaways. Bob Harper, trainer on NBC News' The Biggest Loser, will take center stage. For more information, click here.

The BSC Running Club

Choose a three- or five-mile loop with the running group in the Meatpacking District before gathering back at the Asics store with a reward of veggies, granola bars...and beer. Participants receive discounted offers and a chance to win a raffled prize.

Fitness Tours of NY (tagline: Experience New York City while getting fit)

Staff offers six tours of different levels of difficulty and tourism to local residents and visitors. Participants can "footbike" through Battery Park or band-train along the Hudson River. Each tour lasts for at least an hour and range in price from $27 to $55, according to the company's website.
