Attending fans were able to view an advanced screening of the show's season four premiere 16 days before airing live on HBO. Crowds were seen lined up outside the arena before the 6:00 pm start-time with all 7,000 tickets sold out ahead of time. Tickets were $15 each with all proceeds being donated to the two charities of Books for Africa and Noting But Nets.
The event was labeled as "the epic fan experience", which included a live performance from rapper Common, photo opportunities with four Iron Throne replicas from Westeros, complimentary t-shirts, free step - repeat photos, exhibits that included costumes from the show and a Q&A with the cast members.
The Q&A included Game of Thrones author George R. R. Martin, actors John Bradley, Kristian Nairn, Sibel Kekilli and Maisie Williams. Chicago rapper Common performed his song "The Ladder," which appears on the Game of Thrones soundtrack.
The previous season of Game of Thrones it's 3rd series, averaged 14.2 million viewers a episode. Making it the second-most-popular show of all time on HBO, behind only "The Sopranos."
The Q&A, which preceded the screening, included Martin and actors Kristian Nairn, Maisie Williams, John Bradley and Sibel Kekilli.
The fourth season of Game of Thrones premieres on HBO on April 6 at 9 p.m.
