We are currently celebrating Hispanic heritage Month from September 15-October 18th. Children enjoy learning about other cultures with fun read-alouds. Learning about the Hispanic culture is part of multicultural education, and child-friendly books are a great way to introduce another culture.
The selected books in the List are recommended for multiple ages. One of the chosen books is written in the form of a legend from Hispanic culture. One of the recommended books in the review List is similar to one of our favorite fairy tales. Another of the selected books in the list can be used at this time of year and again during the Thanksgiving season to read about a Thanksgiving celebration in an immigrant family.
After reading some fun read-alouds during Hispanic Heritage Month, you might want to try the recipe that is included. Food is a huge part of the Hispanic culture, and this child-friendly recipe is easy to prepare.
