Happy Tuesday and the first day of July!
Now that summer begun, there are plenty of things we can do to not only be healthier, but also to boost our mood. This warm season welcome colorful outfits and dresses, allowing us to be more daring and confident with our choices. The season also has most events to be possible, such as parties, water and outdoor recreation, BBQs, and all the amazing produce offered at little Saturday markets and grocery stores. What can be better than that? Following up on that, here are some specifics that everybody should advantage of each summer…
As we all know, the sunshine provides vitamin D, which helps our bones. The sun also makes us feel good inside from the serotonin. Sun exposure can be risky if we get too much, but that’s why investing in a hat for coverage and wearing SPF for protection are great ideas.
Most fruits have disease-fighting nutrients and prevent infections, like several vitamins and antioxidants. Instead of taking potato chips for a midday snack, take a handful of cherries, grapes or an individual fruit like an apple or nectarine. These will provide the nutrients your body needs, help your digestive system, but also satisfy your hunger in time for your next meal. We can also have these fresh fruits in salads or barbecue some pineapple with the meat.
Summer sports are excellent for your body. Swimming and tennis work your entire body instead of only your legs. Just doing these for a week can get you toned and increase your strength. If you are a biker, hiker or runner, going during the morning or evening are great for some fresh air without being too hot (in Oregon, that is).
Colorful clothes have a way of making our mood brighter. The warmer it is, the more we get to wear, and lets be honest, the BETTER dresses. Sometimes our clothes make us feel beautiful, sexy and confident. Every woman deserves to feel that way on a daily basis.
