The next film from “The Matrix” trilogy’s Wachowski siblings will star Mila Kunis (“Oz the Great and Powerful”) as Jupiter, an immigrant janitor barely scraping out a living. When the alien warrior Caine arrives on Earth, he informs Jupiter that she is genetically predisposed to become the Queen of the Universe, if she can survive long enough.
In this reboot of the classic kaiju franchise, Godzilla will come ashore in San Francisco and do battle with other gargantuan creatures. The film seeks to return The King of the Monsters to his original glory, and to efface the disgraceful 1998 film from moviegoers’ memories. “Godzilla” boasts a talented cast, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Elizabeth Olsen, Brian Cranston, and Ken Watanabe.
Directed by Doug Liman (“The Bourne Identity”) and based on the Japanese light novel “All You Need is Kill,” “Edge of Tomorrow” stars Tom Cruise as an exo-suit piloting soldier sent into a deadly battle. He becomes stuck in a time loop, forced to repeat the battle (and his own death) ad infinitum with the vain hope that his incrementally increasing abilities may help him turn downfall into victory.
Though the trailer may be cryptic, there’s no denying the interest in the “Dark Knight Rises” follow-up from polarizing director Christopher Nolan. The central conceit of the film revolves around the discovery of a wormhole, and the team of astronauts sent to investigate it. The movie’s star-studded cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway, Jessica Chastain, Matt Damon, and Michael Caine.
