When friends and family come to visit, don't panic, here are my top suggestions of what attractions you will find in Orange County to keep them entertained. Many of these attractions have been opened for years, places like Knotts Berry Farm on Beach Blvd in Buena Park which started as a roadside fruit stand; Disneyland on Harbor Blvd in Anaheim where there is always a new attraction opening; Angels Stadium on Gene Autry Way home of the Los Angeles Angels; and Honda Center on East Katela Ave where there is always a variety of concerts, sports and family events gtaking place throughout the year.
Along the coastline Huntington Beach is well known as the "surfing capital of the world", this is where the top surfers from around the world come to compete, but also where early each morning one can watch the 'would-be surfers' among the waves. Along with that the city has one of the largest recreational piers in the world, where art fairs are held on the beach on a regular basis, and the 8-mile trail for joggers, bikers, skaters, or just plain walkers, parallel the coast highway as it wends towards Newport Beach.
While these might be the most well-known sights there are many, many more attractions in Orange County that offer visitors a fun time. Check out the lists that follow and keep it for reference when your next guest arrives, to help decide where to go and what to do. Here are my suggestions and a few references.
