Thousands of people are jamming San Francisco's South of Market neighborhood right now for the 30th annual Folsom Street Fair.
The street fair got underway on Sunday, September 29, at 11 a.m. and runs until 6: 30 p.m. along Folsom Street between 7th and 12th Streets.
Organizers are asking for a $10 donation at the gates. They hope to generate more than $600,000 that will go to various community organizations.
The 2013 Folsom Street Fair is being greeted with perfect 70 degree weather.
If you plan to go, it is a good idea to leave your car at home. A San Francisco Giants game got underway Sunday at 1:05 p.m. AT&T Park is just a few blocks from the Folsom Street Fair location. If you are taking BART, the festival is an easy walk from the Civic Center BART station.
