On Wednesday, it was announced that HTC would be releasing its flagship phone, the HTC One M8, in a smaller form. It is expected to arrive on Verizon first in early May. They may want to hold off a bit, because sales of the HTC One M8 have been excellent.
Since both the HTC One M8 and Samsung Galaxy S5 have been released, many sites have claimed that the HTC One M8 is actually better than the Samsung Galaxy S5. They note that the former has a better build quality, has better speakers, and shoots better pictures with lower lighting. We have used both units extensively and believe that each unit has its unique features and at least one major flaw.
In this list, we are going to talk bout five features where the HTC One M8 outshines the Samsung Galaxy S5. The most obvious is the build quality. We don't understand why, year after year, Samsung insists on using plastic to build their smartphones. We understand that building a phone out of plastic makes it a lot lighter. However, we would rather use a phone that is heavier and doesn't easily slip out of our hands.
Another feature where the HTC One M8 outshines the Galaxy S5 is its front-facing selfie camera. HTC has rightfully been criticized for it's 4 "Ultra-Pixel" camera on the back, which really hasn't improved much from last year's already underwhelming camera. However, HTC realized that selfie shots are more relevant than ever and have included an excellent 5MP selfie camera on the front.
Here is our full list of ways in which the HTC One M8 tops the Galaxy S5. Do you agree? Let us know in the Comments section.
