Five reasons Eddie Cibrian should never have divorced Brandi Glanville

Jesse James and Tiger Woods certainly didn’t help matters much either.  With their sex scandals occurring around the time of Eddie’s troubles, Cibrian kind of got lumped in with any and all notorious Hollywood cheaters.   His reputation was eventually so scarred that it was rumored he hired a consultant to help clean up his image. If Eddie had remained in his marriage, she wouldn’t have to deal with the backlash of allegedly having “destroyed” it.    The Twitter battles and Instagram bikini photo shoots would probably be non-existent.   Rimes might have slinked into the recesses of our minds, freeing herself from the public scrutiny--- and rehab.There is no way that Eddie would have allowed his wife to air their family’s dirty laundry on a television show if they were still married.   Don’t be mistaken; the program would still be a hit.   But producers of RHOBH would have to find another way to provide the amount of tomfoolery they need to keep viewers hooked. View the list »

For several reasons, Eddie Cibrian and Brandi Glanville’s messy divorce still seems as fresh as it was in 2010. It makes one wonder what life would have been like for this pair if they’d decided to stay married, in spite of his affair with country singer LeAnn Rimes. Things may not have turned out completely rosy. But it’s worth considering…

  • There is no way that Eddie would have allowed his wife to air their family’s dirty laundry on a television show if they were still married.   Don’t be mistaken; the program would still be a hit.   But producers of RHOBH would have to find another way to provide the amount of tomfoolery they need to keep viewers hooked.

  • Remember the NBC nighttime series “The Playboy Club”?  No?  Neither does 99.5% of America.   That’s probably because this feeble nighttime series didn’t even make it past the first three episodes.  They tried without much success (and perhaps much too late) to capitalize off “Mad Men’s” lucrative retro vibe.   Even Cibrian’s dimples couldn’t save the show.   Unfortunately, if Eddie didn’t have to pay child support and other divorce-related expenses, he probably would never have joined the cast of this ill-fated series.
  • Suffice it to say, if Eddie had remained in his marriage to Brandi, all those unfortunate Tweets fired between her and Rimes probably wouldn’t exist.   Thus, there would have been no material for her tell-all book, “Drinking & Tweeting and Other Brandi Blunders.”  It’s also likely that we would never be privy to juicy details like her vaginal rejuvenation surgery; Cibrian’s alleged hair-loss prevention methods and –ahem-- subsequent bedroom issues.   Nope.  We wouldn’t know any of that.
