Five for five: Looking at the New Jersey Devils first five games on the schedule

The 82- game schedule could appear long enough to not worry about wins early on, but the points a team leaves behind in October could be the difference in April between playing in the Postseason and having your season end.

There were a lot of changes made for the New Jersey Devils and the league this this offseason, some good, some bad and some that nobody will even notice.

With the Devils set to begin their 2013-2014 campaign Thursday night, let’s look ahead to see what to expect in their first five games on the schedule.
