Sadly, it's come time for another season of the Great Dickens Christmas Fair to come to a close for it's 2013 season at San Francisco's Cow Palace. It's five week run has played host to tens of thousands of attendees over the course of it's run since before Thanksgiving.
For returning attendees as well as first timers, there's always an ever changing combination of things to see and do, with so many shows, merchants, areas, and characters, it's a new experience daily. The great stage shows combined with the spontaneity of the street and scene performers, as well as the large number of attendees who come in costume (it's encouraged but by no means required to come in costume) always keeps it a fresh surprise.
The holiday season is always made up of hunting for the perfect gifts for loved ones. If you've got those hard to shop for people on your list, the Fair has options well off the beaten path. Food & drink, activities and arts, jewelry and fashion there's elements that will capture your fancy. The antique bookseller will forever be my personal favorite.
