'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie: Top castings for Mrs. 'Elena' Robinson, Mia Grey

It’s hard to consider a mature, sexy role in an upcoming hit film without first considering actress Angelina Jolie. Angelina was linked to the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie in mid-2012 after rumors emerged that she was in talks as a director for the film. Fan casting for the hotly anticipated “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie continues this week, with The Stir reporting this Saturday, Feb. 2, that Christian Grey favorites Ian Somerhalder and Matt Bomer are “competing” even when it comes to the Super Bowl, to Wet Paint debating the role of Anastasia Steele and other cast stars yesterday. Fans often focus their support on “50 Shades” leads Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele, but the supporting cast — including that of Elena Lincoln (Mrs. Robinson) and Mia Grey — are also important roles to be played.

The casting of Mrs. Robinson reached a feverish point in late 2012 between two frontrunners Kim Cattrall and Uma Thurman, with Kim definitely voicing her interest in the “Fifty Shades of Grey” movie. The well-groomed, platinum-blonde, and former partner (in more than one way) of our Christian Grey will be a key role for an experienced actress to take on in the film.

Mia Grey, described in EL James’ “Fifty Shades” trilogy as much more outgoing and friendly than her brother Christian, is a young, tall brunette beauty that eventually develops a relationship with Kate Kavanagh’s brother, Ethan. Due to her more minor role, casting for Mia has been relatively open to many fellow fans.
