This episode of Face Off features a Foundation Challenge in which the special effects artists must create a demon from Insidious: Chapter 2. The added twist is that they have to switch the gender of their models.
We're still at the stage where there's a lot of dead weight.
Lyma, with skills in makeup, will never make it (she's perpetually out of her element). Adolfo's got heart, but he's not going to make it either. With both of them in the bottom and unwisely teaming up later, this is a team likely to flame out. Eddie's another weak link; he seems out of his depth.
Of the newcomers, I'm rooting for Laney; she's quirky enough to compete with the others. Scott has significant experience to be able to pull through, assuming he can keep his attitude in check. And speaking of attitudes, Frank is surprisingly subdued here. It seems like his reputation as an excellent FX artist has nothing to do with his behavior on past appearances on Face Off.
Roy wins the challenge. Winners get a copy of Insidious and a flight out to Los Angeles to attend the red carpet premiere of Insidious: Chapter 2.
See the list for how the contestants did this week.
