Square Enix is a publisher with everything to gain at E3 2014. With their last AAA game launching this June, Murdered: Soul Suspect, there isn't a whole lot else on the horizon for the company. This is why we expect Square to make a major impact at E3 2014 with games the likes of Final Fantasy 15, Kingdom Hearts 3, Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars, Hitman and possibly something else from Tomb Raider and Deus Ex.

E3 is always a time for any company to make a major impact, and if you think about all the things Square currently has in development, we could be talking about Square Enix as the impact company of E3 2014.

Things we expect Square to reveal at or before E3 2014 are games like Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars, the next Hitman and potential teasers from the Tomb Raider and Deus Ex franchises. United Front Games confirmed the existence of their newest iteration in the Sleeping Dogs world back in October of last year. They've promised to reveal more about the upcoming game this year and what better time than E3?

Hitman: Absolution was a critically-acclaimed hit for Square in 2012, but since then we haven't seen a console launch from the series. IO Interactive has acknowledged development for this new Hitman title, but hasn't said a whole lot either. Between Hitman and Sleeping Dogs, Square could be making an enormous impact.

Games that are less likely to show up, but would steal the show at E3 2014, are Tomb Raider and Deus Ex. It's assumed that a new Tomb Raider is in development and the same can be said about Deus Ex, but when they will receive a formal introduction is not known at this time.

E3 2014 could be where Square Enix steals the spotlight this year. They have the formidable IPs to do it and seem to be prepared to make a big splash. We'll have all of the details about E3 this year, but for more on our thoughts about Square's upcoming E3, take a look at the slide in the top left.

'Hitman'

A new Hitman is currently in development at Square Enix, we know that. It was confirmed back in January of this year and should be moving along quite nicely. While it's doubtful we'll see this new iteration of Hitman in 2014, 2015 should be the year we see Agent 47 return.

In what Square Enix is describing as a new way to play Hitman, this PS4 and Xbox One version will be allowing players more freedom than any other game before it. Open-world and sandbox levels have been the name of the game for Square.

"We’ve adopted an open, non-linear level design approach to the game, ensuring the game will play out across huge, checkpoint-free, sandbox levels. Our aim is to create living, breathing and believable levels which will allow gamers to play around with the AI to create those unique moments every fan of the Hitman franchise loves," IO wrote.

'Final Fantasy'

Final Fantasy is arguably Square Enix's most important franchise this year and next. The company has delivered some inconsistent iterations of the game recently, and Final Fantasy 15 could be the time for the company to get the series back on track.

Originally revealed at E3 2013, Final Fantasy 15 is looking like one of the biggest iterations yet. Square has high expectations for this new game, as do fans, and we should see much more gameplay this June. Also expect to hear more about when the game will launch.

'Kingdom Hearts'

It was during the Sony press conference last year at E3 2013 that we heard about Kingdom Hearts 3. While we do not have a release date or platforms confirmed, we expect Square to unveil more about this game at E3 2014.

Kingdom Hearts is one of their biggest franchises and Square needs to deliver with Kingdom Hearts 3. E3 2014 should be the site when they blow the lid off this title and we'll have all of the news that breaks from the event.

'Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars'

Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars is coming from United Front Games and it is currently in development. That was confirmed back in October of 2013. If there is any Square Enix game that we could see launch next, it is undoubtedly Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars.

The game first debuted in 2012 and it was a revelation for the open-world genre, perfecting so many things that the Grand Theft Auto franchise still can't do today. While very little is know about Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars, we expect announcements and news to come at E3 2014.

"Well, we’re super-excited that it’s another game based in the Sleeping Dogs universe, it’s something we’ve wanted to do for ages, and we’re very happy to be working with Square Enix again… but that’s all we can give you for the time being – we’ll have more information about what the game’s going to be in 2014," United Front wrote.

'Tomb Raider'

It's been about a year and a half since we saw an original installment in the Tomb Raider franchise, and with the Definitive Edition launching this past January, Crystal Dynamics has got to be gearing up for another iteration. While we shouldn't be seeing anything from this series in 2014, don't be surprised if we see a teaser of sorts at E3 2014.

Square Enix has got to be a player to watch out for at E3 2014. They are one of the only publishers with most of their announced games having been launched, with the exception of Murdered: Soul Suspect.

Square has so much to reveal this year, so E3 2014 could be their time. We expect them to reveal more information on Final Fantasy 15, Kingdom Hearts 3, Hitman 6 as well as Sleeping Dogs: Triad Wars. We'll have all the news you need to know, so stay tuned.
