Dwyane had the sneaker world in a frenzy on Tuesday night against the Atlanta Hawks. Not only did Wade lead the Heat to their 19th straight win - which is the 4th longest in the NBA history - he rocked a custom version of his signature shoe, the Li-Ning Way of Wade. The sneakers feature a "Gradient" design which highlights Wade's personality both on and off the court.
The custom sneakers were designed by Dan Gamache, who runs the one-man Mache Customs operation. The popular artist has customized kicks for celebrities and athletes all over the world, but this is the first time that one of his creation has made onto an NBA court. Earlier this year, Gamache designed a custom pair for LeBron James as well, using "Iron Man" as his inspiration.
With all of the unique sneaker colorways that have made their way on the court this season, it was refreshing to see something that had never been seen before and most likely, never will again. Sneaker customization is becoming more popular and this can only heighten the awareness of that particular movement.
