I'm a big fan of Fogo de Chao on International Drive, both for their regular all-you-can-eat meals and their new bar menu packed with tasty appetizers. You can read about the bar menu and see lots of photos by going here. If you'd like to take a look at the regular feast, go here.
How do you complement either of those meals? Well, if you're an adult at least 21 years or over, take a look in the drink menu and select one of their special drinks.
I was able to enjoy several examples of their alcoholic pleasures when Fogo had me come out to check out the new bar menu. You can see some of what I enjoyed in the photos to get an idea of whether you could find something to wet your own whistle. You don't have to eat dinner, or even appetizers, in order to enjoy a drink. Just head over to the casual, comfy bar, grab a stool, and place your order with the friendly bartenders.
Fogo de Chao Bar
The Fogo de Chao bar is a friendly, comfortable place. You can drive over or just pop in if you're strolling down International Drive from one of the nearby hotels.
Variety of drinks
Your main problem at the Fogo de Chao bar will be choosing which drink to try. I personally love sweet drinks, so I was in paradise as I worked my way through the menu trying to make a choice.
Once of the things that makes the Fogo de Chao drinks taste so good is the Brazilian rum. Just as the restaurant's food is authentic, this spirit comes straight from Brazil to give the drinks that special taste.
If you're like me and don't know which drink to choose, it's always safe to go with the house special. The caipirinhas come in original or in several fruit flavors, and only fresh fruit is used.
Superfruit lemonade is another great choice for those who love sweet drinks and want something that goes down easy. As the name implies, it's made with Veev Acai Spirit, along with fresh blueberries, strawberries, and lemons.
Extensive wine list
If wine is more to your liking, Fogo de Chao has an extensive wine list from which to choose. If you're undecided, the Fogo de Chao Malbec is a very versatile red that goes well with the beef, or just about anything.
After Dinner Coffees
If you enjoy after dinner coffee, order up something with a spirited twist. Fogo de Chao has a very nice selection of spiked coffee drinks to cap your meal. They go nicely with dessert or stand well on their own.
Maybe you're not into wine and fru-fru drinks. If that describes you, fear not! There's an excellent beer selection, including popular brands like Bud, Miller, and Corona, so you can enjoy a brew.
