Dragon's Maze: New artwork from Uncharted Realms' Ruric Thar article

Details about the cards in Dragon's Maze are so far slow in coming; only two confirmed spoiled cards have been seen so far, as well as one rumored leak of the Golgari guild champion. However, the Magic staff hasn't been shy about showing us the art from the set. Plenty of it was on display at the PAX East Magic panel last month, and now, in today's Uncharted Realms article on the mothership, Jennifer Clarke Wilkes has displayed four entirely new pieces of Dragon's Maze art in addition to a full-size version of Ruric Thar's card artwork.

The short story in the article concerns Ruric Thar's adventure with Squelch, an Izzet lab Goblin. Ruric and Thar, it turns out, are the names of the bicephalous Gruul champion's respective heads. The bickering brothers, who have the misfortune of sharing a body, are the sons of a Scab-Clan Ogre father, and a mother whose clan affiliation is unknown but who appears to have been a Bolrac-Clan Ogre. Despite their guild-related prejudices, Ruric and Thar aren't above teaming up with the members of other guilds when the chips are down. That may prove an asset to them during the Implicit Maze race.
